Artistic Pre-Competitive

The pre-competitive level gymnasts will compete in Invitational Meets when their acquired skill level and maturity suit the competitive environment. Entry into competitions is dependent upon meeting the coaches' selection criteria and pre-approval by the Board of Directors. Competitions are typically held in cities located in Central Ontario or Southwestern region.

Artistic Provincial Levels: 5-10

All Provincial level 5-10 competitive gymnasts, 9 years and older, (as of Dec. 31) will be entered into three compulsory Gymnastics Ontario Provincial Qualifier meets in Ontario. If they achieve a set score at two of the three qualifiers, they will have qualified to attend Provincial Championships. Entry into other meets or training camps will depend on the gymnast's acquired skill level, coaches' selection criteria and pre-approval by the Board of Directors. These meets could include:

GO/GCG Sanctioned meets and training camps such as:

• Tour Selection
• Inter-Provincial Cup
• Provincial Stream Tours
• Ontario Winter Games
• Other provincial Invitational meets

Artistic National Level

The National level gymnasts will compete in all compulsory Gymnastics Ontario and Gymnaststics Canada-Gymnastique sancioned meets. Gymnasts may also attend other selected GO/GCG sanctioned meets of significant recognition that are recommended by the coaches or GCG and which are pre-approved by the Board of Directors.

Compulsory GO Sanctioned meets include:

• Elite Ontario
• Elite Canada
• National Qualifiers
• National Championships

Go/GCG Sanctioned meets include:

• Tour Selection
• National Stream Tours
• Canada Winter Games
• Pan Am Games and Jr. Pan Am Games
• World Championships and Olympic Games

Junior Rhythmic and Rhythmic Provincial

This group will attend a Provincial Qualifier and, if they qualify, they will proceed to the Provincial Championships. They may also attend Invitational Meets within Ontario and Quebec. Throughout the course of the year there may be new athletes joining both groups. It will be up to the discretion of the Head Coach if any athlete, who joins after July 1st, is prepared to attend a meet. The Board of Directors must approve all meets.

Rhythmic National Level

The National gymnast will compete in all Compulsory Gymnastics Ontario/Gymynastics Canada-Gymnastique meets. They may also attend other selected GO/GCG and invitational meets which are recommended by the coaches and pre-approved by the Board of Directors.
